Marimekko Rannva Koppelo Tunic

Description: The Rannva shirt is made of heavyweight cotton jersey in the Koppelo pattern. The shirt has a V-neck and loose sleeves with wide turn-ups at the cuffs. The straight shirt has an oversized fit.

In 1961, Maija Isola spent many evenings and nights working in Marimekko’s print factory – painting in gentle, sweeping brushstrokes to the sway of music. Meter upon meter of new patterns emerged. On one of those nights, Koppelo (hen capercaillie), a pattern of stylized natural forms, saw daylight.
